Director

As a director Ralph's work has been seen all over the world, from NYC to London via New Zealand and Israel!

"Having directed and created works of theatre for diverse spaces as well as conventional theatre venues I found that for me, the story is the most important part of any show. I make it a point to work closely with any performer from an early stage to really develop a piece and ensure that as well as being honest, challenging and truthful, it's also entertaining."

Specialising in immersive theatre, solo performance pieces and event theatre he has created works for The Tate Modern, National Trust, The National Archives, BFI and is currently the assistant director for the China and Taiwan production of 'Sherlock : An Online Adventure' with Olivier Award winning company 'Les Enfants Terribles'

Ralph curated and directed the immersive theatrical cabaret event with the National Trust and National Archives: 'The Caravan Society' where he recreated a gay bar from the 1930's as part of the Queer City project featuring some of London's most celebrated and exciting talent. Which was revived as 'The Campervan Society Club'.

Continuing his immersive directorial experience, Ralph was performance director on 'Suffragette City' which was again with the National Trust in a purpose built venue in Picadilly Circus.

He also directed plays the London Horror Festival (Mountains of Madness) and London Lovecraft Festival (The Thing On The Doorstep : Asenath's Tale).

In solo theatre Ralph worked with such acclaimed artists as Lili La Scala on her solo show 'Siren' that garnered best show nominations. He also co-developed and directed the solo show 'When The Sky Falls In' by Broadcaster and radio host Janet Gershlick. Both shows have toured internationally to a great response. His solo cabaret shows 'SINGO!', 'Insomnia Lullaby' 'Songs I Love and What They Mean To You' have been seen as part of various fringe festivals and venues in London.

One other side to his work is interactive cinema screenings. Establishing himself at Londons premier independent cinema 'The Prince Charles Cinema' Ralph has created numerous quote and sing along events, including Mean Girls, Moana, Bugsy Malone, Muppets Christmas Carol, Grease 2 and many more. Most recognisably The Greatest Showman, which caught the attention of its stars Rebecca Ferguson and Hugh Jackman himself, who gave it a great accolade! This show has toured and sold out all over the UK and even been performed internationally.

He has taken his Cinema events to various festivals including Wilderness and Deer Shed and was invited to curate and direct a whole selection of events for the British Film Institute (BFI) Musical Season in 2019-2020.

During the lockdown Ralph created and directed a number of online theatrical experiences including a seasonal zoom-based family shows 'The Nightmares Before Xmas', 'Virtually Broadway 4 Kidz' & 'The Melody of Musicals' and was the Digital Creative Director for the world premier production of the new version of Aristophanes 'The Frogs' (published by Hackett press) with award winning and acclaimed theatre company Aquila in NYC.

Ralph is currently developing a new original musical called 'Battersea Bardot' based on the life of British actor Carol White (with Ewen Moore) which had a sharing at the BFI on the Southbank and is currently in development for a new play going to Edinburgh in 2022.
